This is a response to epic travel song blog made by Katie on Lligo.com. The blog lists the top 10 responses on #TTOT to the question: ”Q3 via @IPrefer: What is your perfect soundtrack for an epic journey”. Here are the top 10 songs that will make up my soundtrack on my epic journey to South Korea this Fall:
1) SNSD – Gee
What guy doesn’t love SNSD? I sure can’t resist them. They are cute and their music is catchy. They have plenty of great, upbeat songs to get you excited for your trip.
2) 2PM – Again and Again
2PM’s best song in my opinion, before the departure of Jay Park. I don’t get tired of it.
3) Epik High – Free Love
Epik High’s first album, Map of the Human Soul, is my favorite and really has an old school hip-hop feel. I love just about every track on the CD with two other great songs being “Go” and “I Remember”.
4) 4Minute – For Muzik
4Minute’s album is pretty awesome and even the intro called “For Muzik” is catchy and good way to transition into their songs. Haven’t heard anything new from them in some time, but this album caught my ears for some time.
5) Bi (Rain) - 사랑이라는 건
This song has to be my favorite song by Bi (Rain) in Korean. If we’re talking J-Pop then I love “Move On” and Chinese songs, “Pantech” impresses me. I love how this song just catches a perfect R&B feel to it…I almost feel like it’s something I have heard in regular USA R&B stations, but better.
6) BMK Feat. Dynamic Duo – Just Friends
I was introduced to this song by a Cyworld page of a friend and was stunned at how incredible the voice of BMK was. Kim Hyun Jung or Big Mama King (BMK) is one of the best voices I have ever heard in Korean music. Strong vocals, you can feel the emotion in her songs. I have probably have heard this song over 400 times this past years.
7) Miss A – Good Girl, Bad Girl
I became a fan of Miss A after watching Susie’s Korean Drama “Dream High” and becoming impressed with her singing. Their debut song is pretty awesome, although a little repetitive.
8 ) Instant Romantic Floor – Luv Punch
Korea’s underground music scene has produced some excellent electronic hits. Luv Punch goes all over the place, but has the feel of a happy upbeat day. Some other great artists to checkout if you like this song are Casker, Humming Urban Stereo, and Clazziquai Project.
9) Kinetic Flow - 현실에 2% 부족한 연인들에게 (Feat. AG)
This is a great hip-hop song by Kinetic Flow, like their name the flow of this song is fantastic.
10) Uhm Jung Hwa – D.I.S.C.O.
Uhm Jung Hwa might be old school, but I love her songs and every song on her album D.I.S.C.O. is upbeat and refreshing when you want to go out and have a great day.
